should I run the cable along the same path as the motor wires or just directly to the monitor? I feel like the cable affects the balance?

We use highly flexible cables and leave them pretty loose. Normally we will anchor them on the camera, sometimes with gaff, and then run straight to the monitor.

yup, 3 ft is what I've used. Flexibility is very important.

    Brad,

Do You have a brand and/or model number of the HDMI cable you use?

At the time of checkout, in the Freefly store, you will have the option to buy the HDMI cable recommended.
