Some folks have expressed that they often switch between two camera systems. Would a plate with witness marks like this help to adjust settings repeatably?
Maybe, but when its feasible just use the clamps on the tilt bar to move left and right. you shouldn't have to make adjustments on the back roll beam unless you swapping cameras that are extremely different. ie. Epic to GH2.
Jason: I must admit that I wouldn't expect to use reference marks on the Roll Beam....it's just so easy, when you really need to adjust it, to slacken the two top machine screws, slightly loosen the bottom one, and then shift the Roll Beam very slightly until you feel Roll Beam coming into balance....
