I have the m5 and I want to rig up a pulley way up in a tree and hoist the MOVI up into the canopy. In my tests - when I hang the MOVI, either from the handle bars with leads tied to each end, or tied into the ninja star, it begins to oscillate on the pan axis, even with the pan stiffness set very low. Has anyone rigged this up? Any suggestions? Thinking of adding something more substantial in weight with a more complex tie-down to increase the stiffness of the mounting point.
You could use this product available from the Cinema Oxide. The oscillation is just coming from how you rig it. Having 2 mounting points helps to isolate the pendulum effect.
