Thanks guys, No time to heal. I have a job this Wednesday and then a seven day road trip for a TV series starting the following Monday. Luckily I have a second pilot to help me out with the flying chores when I need a break. Thanks again. Wayne Mann
I hear you Andy. Neither the dog nor the motorcycle survived that day. I was the only one to walk away, carried actually. I was very fortunate. It could have been a whole lot worse. Wayne
Hi Tabb, Sorry for the late reply. I have been stupid busy. Production companies need to get stuff done regardless of the amount of pain that six broken bones can cause. On another note, I mentioned to you that we were going to trade the BMW in on a new Ducati Multistrada. The dealer told us that it would be at least March before they could get me a red one. The day after I started this thread the dealer called and said that our bike had come in. What a bitch. The wife said "NO MORE BIKES". I said fine, I have always wanted a yellow convertable vette with a black top and black wheels, which was my reply to her. We will see. Wayne
Hi guys. I'm new freefly costumer. I've got a problem with my AURORA 9 , I learn that upgrading Radian software PPM problem will solve... I'm trying to upgrade my Radian but I can't do it!!! When I switch on Radian, the GREEN led blink fast, than became solid and start fastly the orange one . When I try to connect, bootloader send message "NO RESPONSE". I tryed to shortcut port 6 using binding Spectrum plug, but my Radian made the same . Someone can help me? Thanks Luca.
Hi Luca: Can you tell me more about how you have things setup: For the Radian sensor, what connections do you have for each port? For the Radian software, when you have the Radian USB adapter plugged in, can you go into the Device Manager and see if there is a USB Serial Device shown under the COM & LPT section? If so, what is the COM port number assigned to it? To get the Radian to enter bootloader you short together the signal pins on port 5 and 6. Can you confirm that you are doing this? EDIT: The signal pins are closest to the label that says, "Radian." Also, you might be interested to see the firmware upgrading video that Tabb made. Go to http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLlKTld1e-W1yImvdV5nuJ8rgNgtozfYnX It's the last video on the playlist. Thanks Andy.
Hi Andy. Thanks for your quick reply... I've got 3 axis gimball with Radian stabilization,I use 9Ch 2,4 Ghz Hitec radio. I use port 1 CH2 of RADIAN for tilt direction and port 2 CH 5 for Mode switch.. . Using PC software I can read and write Radian on COM 12 (COM 10 is busy) . Now I tryed to shortcut Signal pin 5 to 6 and Radian enter in Bootloader mode (GREEN and ORANGE led solid) but connecting with bootloader the happens the same : "NO RESPONSE". I working in Windows 7 HOME premium. Thanks Luca
Thanks, Luca. Do you have the Bootloader on COM 12 too, please? Sorry for so many questions, but it's hard to visualize what is happening. Andy.
Hi Andy This morning I tried to uninstall and install again the bootloader software from a different folder . NOW it work well.... My Radian are now upgraded from V1.0 to V1.03. The PPM defect seems to be no more. Thanks Luca
Hi Luca: Thanks for letting me know. Just for others who may have this same problem, which folder were you running the Bootloader software problem from before when it was not working? And which folder did you move it to? Thanks Andy
