Hi, I have a bunch of old lipo batteries that are no longer in service for flight, but I thought I could use them out in the field to power my charger in order to charge my flight packs. Is this a dumb idea, or is this something people do? Cheers, Alex
It's not a dumb idea as long as you don't tell the charger where the electrons are coming from. Seriously, that's perfectly viable, but it will mean that you have to charge up the removed-from-service LiPo's back at the studio -- so be sure to put them in LiPo bags just in case. Andy.
