Taking the "old MK gimbal system" apart left a power connector or two with nothing to do. Seems to be 5 volts coming to the connector. Could that power the Radians for a 2-axis system using a couple of Savox servos? Might save the weight of another battery and simplify some wiring. Or should I use this connector to power the Freefly HDMI converter (5v) and run the Radians with a separate lipo at 6v? Thoughts? jim
Are you talking about running the Radian system from the power supplied from the MK FC? I don't recommend that since it doesn't put out enough Amps. The servos can draw around 1.5A in normal mode and much more if it stalls (gets caught on something). I believe the MK FC power output only supplies 1A. Josh
Hi Jim, I would opt for a higher power BEC to power the Radian. You could simply just tap a BEC off the MK ring on the + and - terminals they supply. Wiring would be nice and tidy and gimbal powered off the main flight pack Tabb
