instead of digging thru a bunch of threads to find out how everyone is rigging their m10 I thought it would be a great idea to start a thread. Please share a photo of your m10 with details on monitors, FF, etc..
Kevin nice job. Forget who was asking but what are the brand of the BNC wiring. Someone was looking for the same for a RED SDi output.
This is the spot we sourced ours. Its a cable made with Belden 9221 cabling. We used several of the 2ft ones. You can get them at TecNec here: http://www.tecnec.com/Product.asp?c...&baseitem=MB-MB-2&search=0&off=0&showreturn=0
Hi Mike, Thanks for posting the pictures of your setup, they are extremely informative. I had a quick question for you. Where could I find a the clamp / mount you are using for your monitor? I highlighted in this picture below:
Hi Aldofo, Thats just a hot shoe ball mount adapter. It is one that happened to be around the office when I was constructing the rig. Ideally I'd get one of these: The Manfrotto LCD 492 http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/683655-REG/Manfrotto_492LCD_492LCD_Micro_Ball_Head.html The hot shoe portion will unscrew revealing either a 3/8-16 or 1/4-20 thread mount. If you need to convert the 3/8ths to 1/4-20 grab one of these: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/620896-REG/Wimberley_BS_100_BS_100_3_8_16_to_1_4_20.html I inverted the supplied Freefly clamp to try to keep the monitor as low profile as possible. The only downside is that you want to be sure your ball head has drop notches both front & rear for more versatility. At the very least, be sure that the tightening knob is 90 degrees away from the drop notch and not 180 degrees otherwise you wont have the clearance to tighten the knob because of the top support rod.
Mike, thanks for the great pictures! What's the little red rod clamp that is sitting next to the Movi stand by the bottom left leg? Is that a rod clamp with a shoe adaptor?? WANT.
Pretty good actually! I've found a good groove to where I can get the rig setup in under 15 minutes. I'm like Forest Gump stripping a rifle! Unfortunately the Movi is out on a rental in NY so I can't take photos right now. But I haven't gotten all the accessories that I've wanted to get yet, so once I have everything just as I want it, I'll post more detailed photos. Should only be a week or two.
Cool.. So you rent it out without you? I'm still waiting for some lipo batts, thin cables and some battery plates for wireless video.. Should be pretty set at that point..
Not usually. I always require that I'm there. However, this production had a few folks on set that were Movi-learnéd. So I didn't feel too bad sending it out solo.
