    The fine print is that it is PAL only.

    Just out of curiosity why is PAL a problem, just about all monitors work with PAL or NTSC, and all of the cameras that output HDMI don't care if you are down converting to NTSC or PAL.

    AFAIK NTSC and PAL are just broadcast standards, and since the HD video stream is being recorded directly to that card and the SD stream (NTSC or PAL) is just being transmitted to a the monitor for framing of a picture, it is effectively a closed system, and doesn't matter if it is NTSC or PAL, you just have to make sure your monitor is set to the correct setting, otherwise you are looking at a black and white image

    Chris consistency of signal type. FPV cams in the US are typically NTSC. Trying to mix and match with switching in the monitor isn't a good workflow.

    sounds like a fair call ... I don't have an FPV system, so that scenario hadn't dawned on me ... another thing learnt for the day ;)
