When I went to "load settings" after updating firmware to 3.08, MOVI M10 went crazy and I had to grab it and quickly turn it off.

What now? What did I do wrong?

PS The brushless motors are way strong than I thought.

    Thanks in advance!

    Just an idea Sean,
you could use the remote to switch off the motors right on startup. That would give you the opportunity to change the settings manually.

I would guess without seeing your situation that the update did not happen. If you had 3.08 installed on the MōVI, the stiffness settings would have defaulted to zero (to prevent this wild action and allow users to update without a balance camera package installed, etc.). I would say try it again but make sure you have the latest Freefly Configurator installed. 3.08PC, 1.552 Mac or Android.
