I was doing some studio shoots (video) for my demo reel and I thought I would take some pictures while I was shooting.
I haven't shot in complete dark so I can't answer that question completely. I have shot up to conditions 30 minutes before dawn and it didn't affect it.
Hi Dave curious what is your curent total weight the way its on the pictures with 5D 2 main lipos, gimbal lipos etc Thanks Ps I see your fan its great to have it o and how do you like your CF props where are they from? Nice pictures by the way
HI Jose Thanks! I don't fly with the carbon fiber props (they don't fly as good as the XOAR or APC props). The ones I have are the Aerobot 13x6.5 Carbon Fiber Propellers I bought them about 6 months ago and they didn't test as good as other props. My flying setup is the exact same setup as you see in the picture with the small exception of using the XOAR 14.5 props. My copter responds best to the XOAR 14X14.5 props. In that combination my weight is 15 pounds on the button and that includes having the heavy canon intervolemeter on the landing gear too.
Hi Dave you know I have try other props and I always come back to the wood Xoars I fly 14x4, the other day I try the Graupner 14x8 o boy they are nice they sim to have more lift but my motors where hotter and my Bl,s like 10 degrees more about 85 degrees with the fan I normally stay at 70 degree range Il save the Graupners for a latter build I am also around the 15Lbs range with a GH3 & /7-14 zoom with one 8000mha lipo it would be nice to put like you the 2 smaller and lighter 6200 for a total mha of 12400, what is your average time in the air with + or - 25% left on your lipos Ps Dave Have you check out www.allieddrones.com they have a very cool front of the gimbal CF plate for your gimbal battery talk to Josh very nice person
Jose: Depends on temperature. I can get 7-9 minutes of flight time with 20% left. In 30-40 degree weather I'm seeing 5 minutes.
