Hi. I am planning on running my motor wires on top of the boom and having them run straight into the Power Distribution Board which will prevent a big mess of wires in the center, lower EMI (maybe), shorten the wires (lighter) and allow quicker assembly of the booms all at the price of ugliness and probably a few other shortfalls that will become evident down the road. :)

In order to shorten the Motor wires, I need to know what the heck those disconnects are called and where to buy them. The motors are QC3328s and were supplied by Quadrocopters.com. I have posted a picture of them. It would be nice to get the same part so I only have to do the Male side of the wires.

    Hi Morgan:
They're called "bullet connectors," so do a Google search for those. I'd avoid the crimp-on ones like the plague, though. They're available in different sizes, so I'll let someone else chip in with the specific details. Cedar Beauregard might know of a good source as I know you're following in his footsteps with this move!

That said, I think these are them -- please let me know what parts you ultimately get.

Hi Morgan...welcome to the forum! Just in case you did not realize this you can cut away the black heat shrink on the end of the connector with an Xacto knife and de-solder the bullet connectors and then re-solder them after you cut the wires to length.

    Best,

    Tabb

Thanks Guys. Reusing the existing connectors saves lots of time. Will probably order some just the same to have them in the Kit. I will let you know what I get and how they work when they arrive. Believe it or not, i am seriously short on metric tools and can't seem to locate a MM ruler anywhere in my house tonight. More trips Fry's I guess.
