I vaguely remember Tabb saying they planned for allowing 4 mimics. All I can find after quick search is dual-op mode, and an image in the Manual suggesting maybe 3 control devices. I have a shoot where DP want continuous shots, with changing light etc. Asked me if i can bring 4 operators (gimbal op, camera movement, Focus puller, Iris/zoom pull) and movi pro, and is willing to pay for cost to get additional mimic and Pilot here in time. So just wondering if i am able to do this: gimbal op holding gimbal, wheels/RC controller for camera movement, mimic and Pilot for focus puller, bush pilot and mimic for Iris/zoom pull? Also, is there a way to boost the range on the Mimic? have some tricky landscape to navigate for shoot.
SeBaStiaN: You might try something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Sunhans-Amplifier-Wireless-Boosters-Repeater/dp/B01I1EKK60 I recall one of the forum members was using it to boost the range of the MoVI Controller -- I have one of them, but I've not tried it on the MIMIC, so my suggestion is tentative, I'm afraid. I don't know whether anyone has worked with four operators....might be worth opening up a ticket by sending an email to Freefly Support (support@freeflysystems.com) and asking them?
