Just a reminder that some of those larger Sony NP-f series batteries stick out beyond the battery bay on a lot of cameras.
The MoVI M10 has a weight limit of 12 Lbs (5.4 kg), the MoVI M5 has a weight limit of 5 Lbs (2.2 kg). Factor in the weight of your camera/lens combination and if you decide to add additional equipment. Anything mounted on the top cross bar does not affect the weight limit on the gimbal.
We do not have any MR kit linked to the M5. It may be the exact same kit, it may be a slightly different kit. Closer to the release date of the M5 we will announce the availability of other support products for the M5. Until then please Join our mailing list and we will keep you updated with all information of future products. Vijay others have been reporting challenges balancing the FS700 on the MōVI. Until the final specs are released and reading Chris's post #9 there really isn't a definitive answer.
Steve, regarding post #9, I was answering Drew's #8 question about the M5 having the MR option when the M5 starts shipping. My answer had nothing to do with weight limit or camera compatibility. Weight limit is not the only factor. One of the factors that contribute to the MoVI M5 having a smaller weight limit is because, it's smaller. Sure, there are cameras that fall within the 5lbs weight limit but size and shape are also an obvious factor. Thanks, Chris
