    I appreciate your cooperation! :)
However, it still appears that your user name on the posting is the same as a before. Usually when you make that change it alters your name on all previous postings. Weird.

Interesting. I only see one name:

I wonder whether we have a bug on the web site. Or is your full name Demir Celik? :)

We just had issues with the small movi controller range on a shoot.

    M15 under Alta.

In a perfect location, with no interference or obstacles.

We were getting 220m, sometimes out to 300m.

But, when it looses the connection the movi of course just goes loose. Which is really annoying. (Staying in a majestic mode would be much more useful).

The second really, really annoying thing is that when it looses the connection, the camera will cut and roll and cut and roll repeatedly.
(We are using the Freefly Trigger cable for Dragon).

It's a really bad look, and frustrating when we can put a cheap DJI drone up and have full dual control at much, much greater ranges.

I would love an official Freefly solution for this.

    Ouch - that's nasty Ben.

Have you mod'd your Movi Controller with a booster and replaced the antenna on your Movi rig? Done both and much much happier now.

I can't remember whether you posted details of the antenna modification you made on the MoVI controller receiver, Derek....
I re-read the thread here, but it's not quite clear what one should do -- if you open up the receiver, is there an SMA connector inside for the antenna?

you want something like this https://www.dronesetc.com/collections/frsky/products/frsky-receiver-antenna-150mm for a replacement antenna. It is basically the same as the stock antenna only the lead portion of the wire is longer so the antenna can hang lower beneath the Movi so it isn't being blocked. The connector inside the Movi rx is a ufl and the place I listed above also carries ufl to rpsma cable if you want to try an rpsma antenna, they also have a frsky pcb ufl antenna which might be a possiblity. I used the antenna listed above on the rx and a 5 db (stock ant. is 2db) rpsma antenna on the Movi controller.

You used a ALTA to shoot this, I trust -- they're great for starting BBQ's using the rotorwash....

In few days I will receive an electronic part to extend the MoviController's range. The modification is very simple: nothing will be soldered or éventuellement unsoldered !

It's just a replacement of the XBEE PRO hf module by a long range version !! https://www.digikey.fr/product-search/fr?keywords=XBP24-AUI-001-ND

I don't know why nobody tryed it....
it's so easy, lightweight and cleaner than the uggly 2.4ghz booster.

    JOYEUX NOËL !!!

Pascal having a bit of experience with the XBEE products how do you plan to program it so that it will 'talk' properly with the MoVI? It isn't a plug and play type of device. Lots of parameter settings that need to match.
