Great weekend shooting in West Virginia. Got to see some really special cars at The Greenbrier Car Show. Still learning to smooth out my walking shots. The Movi handled the day so nicely! https://vimeo.com/268467075 John M. Woody Professor Emeritus
Really enjoyed the video! I see you used an iPhone X, did you use the Movi app to shoot everything? What settings were used? 4K 24fps? Hopefully you’ll share, that looks as good as if it was shot with a professional camera. In my first life I had a video production company and did a lot of work for TimeWarner. Amazing what can be done with a smartphone and a gimbal. Back in the day, to get that I had a crane and dolly and expensive cameras.
Hi Darrin... thanks for the nice comments. I used both the Movi app and my favorite iPhone Camera app... Mavis. For some of my Majestic mode shots I can use Mavis. Mavis is really awesome and cheap at the Apple App Store. It also allows for extended 100 Mbit/s recording, much better than the iPhone App. (https://www.shootmavis.com) Of course for the Echo Mode shots I had to use the Mov app. I shot this in 30fps, though I usually use 24fps. The following videos where all shot with my older iPhone 6s+ and Mavis. https://vimeo.com/channels/iedithd/179049011 John M. Woody Retired Professor Emeritus
Thanks David. You're going to love your Movi. Just shot all weekend a new short video about a forgotten town in West Virginia. The Movi was simply a great tool to get some exciting shots! John Woody
