    Hi All,

    My first post ...
Has anyone come across a 1/4" mount clamp accessory that can hold the Shure MV88 Microphone firmly in place on the MCR?

I will be using moment lenses on my iPhone 11 Pro, so I'll need to use counter weights to balance the phone on my Movi. Thus, I'll need to place the microphone somewhere else (even though it attaches to the iPhone via the lightning port).

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Randy

If you do a search, I think there is at least one post that may be relevant.

I assume you know that using the 13mm lens with the MCR is a significant problem. If not, there are discussions about the issue in recent threads.

    Thanks @Rorick Edge.

Yeah - I read up on the issues with the 13mm lens. Not sure how often I'll use that lens for doing videos.

As a follow-up to my question, I"m thinking of making my own 1/4" mount accessory with a 3D printer a friend of mine owns.

    Thanks,
    Randy

    Cross posting from this thread:

"I made a DIY cold shoe mount for the MV88, mostly as an exercise in tinkering."

Another solution is the Shure VP83F Shotgun, which can record independently, but is only mono.

The idea could easily be improved, and adapted to other materials.
