I was trying to find a thread on what zoom lenses people are able to put on their M15 both on the ground and in the air. Any pointers to a good thread?

I'll be flying the Alta 8 with Red Weapon and was curious to know if anybody has tried the Red 17-50mm lens or any other telephoto on the M15?

Handheld you can use an Optimo.

On the drone is the issue... the M15's Pan motor is not strong enough to hold a Ultra Prime at more than 12m/sec for 10+ seconds (side profile/tracking it will fail/break loose).

If your under half throttle the Red 17-50, Century 17-35 and 28-70 work well, faster you run the chance of breaking loose.

Optimo if your pretty much static, once you travel it annoyingly break loose easily (the M15 = rated at 15lbs, ad inertia, wind resistance and drones inclination... means more like 10-11lbs reliably.

    Thanks Jason!
Thankfully most of filming will be lower speeds for beautiful nature shots and wildlife. Will look into Red and Century.
Would love to get together with you and Duane in the off season!
