I went through the forum looking for an answer, but came up short. I am curious about using the movi inverted in the 25mm ring. I do see a photo on the website of this config. My reason for this is I would like to do some time lapse as well during my upcoming event. From what I see, inverting the M5 takes time to re balance the whole rig. I am thinking it would be more efficient use of time to just invert the movi and run it inverted the whole time.

Is there any reason I should not run the movi inverted in the ring ?

    Thank you

Running inverted is awkward and uncomfortable for any period of time to hold because your hands\forearms are keeping gravity from wanting to flip the rig back over. If you have a Ready Rig vest to support it, it's OK, but I don't recommend running inverted unless you need to.

It doesn't take much to re-balance the rig, maybe a few seconds once you know what you're doing. I only go inverted if I need to get the camera lens higher, or up against a low ceiling where the Pan motor gets in the way.

    Undertood.

I can see your point about the gravity and rig wanting to flip.

I will just go through the invert steps several times to get it dialed.

    Thanks for the input
