Hi guys and thank you for offering me support on this great product! I'm trying to start recording video with my cinestar and the m5 with 5DM3 but after using two different IR attached to gear port they doesn't tell the camera to start video recording, I've already set the remote in 2s/remote mode but no way... anyone with a solution? Only IR is possible? no other ways? Thank you! Max
You can use any remote shutter release to start recording. Its an option in the 5DM3 to start recording on a shutter release press. I picked up the velio shutter remotes and have used these quite successfully at ranges of at least 100 ft, if not further.
