Just noticed the GPS antenna where it screws into the controller, is broken. It pulled out of the coaxial type connection. Of course I'm in a remote area in Banff, Canada and as you guessed it, need the movi to work. Any advise? Is this repairable? As a quick fix, I'd try re-inserting the central pin, pushing the outer sheath of the coax down towards the central pin so that it slides down the *outside* of the metal cylindrical part of the out part of the connector, then use PVC tape to hold it together. I suspect the GPS will still work fine. Andy.
Yet another part that does not come with a spare in the 'emergency kit' from freefly. The solution, I am afraid, is to have two gimbals with you at all times in remote locations. These rigs are just too delicate to consider not having a spare.
