Is Freefly going to release a brushless mod kit for the Cinestar 2x/3x? bearing in mind the similarity in basic construction between the Cinestar and Movi MR? Common sense tells me that may be a silly question, but there it is!

I dont know if they will have the time now, making all the MöVI´s they are selling the movie people ;-)
But be sure if Freefly dont, someone else will. With the price of the MöVI there must be some monney in selling this kind mod kit.
Even if it costs lots of dollars, the pirce differense 360-MöVi is only 13499 USD. As for today that is.......

Steve, the amount of commonality is primarily the tubes and ldg gear. Everything else, at least on the MR10, is completely different. Even some of the tubes are longer. Clamps are all metal.

Maybe the uppgrade should ¨only¨ be to get a bruschless 360, not a whole MöVI?
Something better than what we have now but not the price nor the capabilitys of the MöVI :)

Even the radian modules themselves are different?

Yes, rather than using a separate Radian on each axis, there is a single IMU that controls all the movements.

The MöVi is nothing but awesome new tool and Tabb will sell lots of them to the movie people.
BUT maybe he has got to rethink the prising, many seamed a bit chocked.
AND this high price may lead to many others hurrying up in developing their own ¨MöVI´s¨........

Yup there are going to more of those in the next months.
In fact I know of three projects that are going on currently and have been for months and one with 3 axis and larger payloads.
I guess everyone is going to try to cash in.

Since I like to build things and having a hard time coming up with something new on my own I decided to do this.
Is a copy of the CS gimbal but smaller. and it works. I'm using I-flight brushless motors (4006-150T) and the Alexmos controller.

    here is handheld.

    Still need some fine tunning

Tabb showed us what is possible :)
But I think his pricing sells a lot of Alexmos controllers.

Fo the moment is only 2 axis. Alex is working on a three axis. The GUI is already setup for three axis.

Is not hard to build a good gimbal nowadays.
But the controller and the motors make a difference.
I got in touch with Maxon motors about the ECF45 flat motor. http://www.maxonmotor.com/maxon/view/catalog/
I am waiting for an answer. I like to know if those motors will work with the Alexmos controller.
