Looking to buy an M5 and had a few questions. There doesn't seem to be much footage online of people flying with the M5. Also on FreeFly website it shows the transmitter being included is a DX8 as does quadrocopter but quadrocopter lists the transmitter included as a Dx7. Can anyone clarify this? What are everyone flying the M5's thoughts? What gimbal where you using before? I am planning on ordering one asap but just want to see what peoples thoughts are, especially those people flying it.

Good question-- it gave me am idea. Is there a website that offers a comparison between all the gimbals in tabular format? With side by side footage maybe?

Tristan depending on availability it will ship with either a DX7 or DX8. Flys the same as the M10 operationally.

Last question. Any benefit to ordering direct from FreeFly rather than say QuadroCopter?

Tristan no advantage. If you buy from Quadrocopter for your other stuff I would order from them.

Tristan message Steve Maller, or do a search for his threads on flying the M5.

I didn't even think about the whole firmware issue when i placed my order and now I am kinda regretting it and wishing I would have ordered through FreeFly because it would have shipped with the newest firmware already on it :/ Oh well

No need to regret it. It will just force you to learn how to install the latest firmware, so in the long run it will be a good practice.

I was more worried about doing it correctly and still having an issue the day before a shoot. Luckily FreeFly support is sending me the cable so that I have it just in case and won't need to wait if something where to go wrong. Awesome customer service.
