Isn't it the big firmware upgrade today?
Yeah suppose to be. I want to see how it works for others!
I'm ready to pile straight in! Got some Hyper lapse and Hi speed tracking I need to do with the weapon onboard and these functions couldn't be here quick enough. I'll report back once i've got it working
I'm waiting eagerly also!
I imagine it won't release until at least 9am PST, so still another hour to go...
It is up. Will test tomorrow....
where is the actual link?
There is a link to the page at the bottom of our Software & Manuals page, in the beta section. Here is a direct link to the Akira page.
I've updated the Akira firmware to my Movi M15 and downloaded the Freefly App v1.80 but when I try to open the program, it launches briefly and then shuts down, giving me this error message as seen below. I have restarted the computer and am running Mac OS X 10.9.5.
Any help would be great.
Anybody flown with it yet? details please..........
Did the update and first tests today, works like a charm, but the new Android App (2.0) is still buggy and has a learning curve.
On my Nexus 7 tablet, i could not stop and leave the time-lapse mode, has to reboot. No problems with the 1.80 version. Mimic double tap is a long missed and great new feature! The stabilization seems to be much better. More real life tests to come….
Hey Julian (and any others experiencing the issue above),
I contacted support and they said they had received the same problem from a few people, all of who are running OS X 10.9.5. Their only advice was to update to a new version of OS X.
Same problem for me too. 10.9.5 as well
I just downgraded back to 10.9.5 as Yosemite made my mac run so badly!
Ok thanks Dale
All works fine on Mac OS X 10.11.3 (El Capitan). Upgrade and tuning complete.
I updated the firmware of my m15 . is this correct? Don't seem to see any of these new features within the new configurator app for OSX.
The screenshot indicates your MoVI is running FW v4.2. If you want to take advantage of the Akira Beta FW 5.0, you will need to install it on the MoVI.
**IMPORTANT:** Please download and read the complete [release notes](http://d27w8s76bjlz9v.cloudfront.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/08181024/Akira-Beta-Manual.pdf) prior to installing or using the BETA firmware.
As per the FW 5.0 release notes, you will need to install app version that is compatible to the new version [here](http://freeflysystems.com/software-manuals/beta)
The FW 5.0 BETA (Akira) user manual can also be found [here](http://d27w8s76bjlz9v.cloudfront.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/08181024/Akira-Beta-Manual.pdf)
Software downloads by product/device can be found [here](http://freeflysystems.com/software-manuals/beta/software-by-product)
It is under the MoVI APPS section of that link.
thx got it to work. Question i have both the mimic and movi controller . anyway i can get the 2 to work together on target mode?
I have done the update and i`m very pleased with the results i´m getting! I have jet to put a heavy camera on our m15, but i did a test with a BMPCC and a voigtlander 35mm. This was pre the update to light for the m15, now it works perfect. Got high gains on all axis, even tilt.
