    Hello everyone,

I am very very new to the forum, I have been here for months just reading a learning but there are a ton of
things that I still dont get it. For months I ahve been buying parts for my CS8 project from people here in the forum and QC and other great websites. Finally after a couple of months I started the build with help from the great Andy and his two DVD's CS8 build and the MK TOOL.

Well my question is I bought the DX8 and as some of you may know that on Andy's DVD he only explains how to set up or solder the MX-20 to the FlightCtrl 2.1 but I am on a budget and I was not able to buy the MX-20 (maybe later :) ) ... So I look in at least 50 forums and MK wiki and I found out that I only needed to solder the Sattelite to the FlightCtrl but I am not sure if this is it.... What about the AR8000 receiver ?. I dont need anything else to solder anything else ?.

    Thank you for helping .

That's it. Just solder the leads to the FC on the appropriate pads (per MK wiki). You will have to bind the satellite to your transmitter before you plug it in the first time. Check the manual to your radio for that procedure.

    Thank you

This is what I did , pics .

I followed the wiki instructions, but I am not sure if thats it, I already bind them, but thats it ?

What about the AR8000 ? I dont need it ? for the Octo ?

I know I will need it for the gimbal. I am just not sure if what I did is correct.

Thank you for your help I forgot to post the pics on my desciption . :)

Brad, to setup up the Satellites don't you need to have them hooked to the AR8000 for the first binding?

Yes Gary, bind the satellite to your transmitter via the receiver per the spektrum manual.
