I was trying to stay with the same props I use on the CS6 for two reasons.. Smaller footprint and also the added bonus of not having to stock up on two different sets of spares..

So 14x6 Xoars with the standard 450 booms..

So I'm liking the Tiger MN4012-9 (480kv) Thanks Gary for pointing me to this combo..

Tiger specs are short on 6s.. Anyone have some experience with this motor?

    Hello Cedar,

11kg GVW is all up with gimbal/lipos ect? Even with the bigger motors that seems very heavy compared to a standard CS8 with gimbal @ approx. 6.5kg. 77% throttle @ hover is concerning...

    Greetings,
    Adam

Adam it all depends on what you strap to the bottom :)

Paul the 6 was just to model the ship I'm most familiar with to gain some confidence in the ecalc.. Right now I'm not to sure as its way different than some testing data..

How much airgap is there below the props and whatever's beneath them Cedar? It appears that you might be getting a falsely high reading because the prop is operating in "ground effect."

The video is from Ricardo Garcia. I modeled the same setup in ecalc. Amps come up higher in ecalc.
