I've seen guys use bendable cable wraps, they're almost like Giant twist ties. Back when I had the original ronin it came with velcro straps to secure it to the stand to carry around as one piece, those were invaluable for in car transport in my opinion. It probably wouldn't be too hard to staple two sides of velcro together long ways to fashion up something like that yourself on the very cheap. one that could hold all three axis at once, vertically.
