looking for a HiHat solution to mount my M15. Anyone have a Michael Plate / Toad adaptor that can be mounted on to a HiHat?
I found that I could take a Ninja Star and the tie-down from an O'Connor 2575 head and those two could mate to a mitchell mount with the Toad sticking up. The other suggestion I have is to take a piece of plywood or lumber, and counter-sink a 3/8" bolt through the bottom of it so you have a piece of flat wood with a short 3/8" bolt sticking up about half an inch. You can screw the Ninja Star into that bolt. I made one of these for my little Manfrotto head and DSLR, as a super-low profile hi-hat. Here's the piece of wood I used for that little low-profile hat (it's a fence-post cap): http://www.lowes.com/pd_179589-67197-72832___?productId=3115505&pl=1&Ntt=fence+post+cap+wood
Thanks Graham, those are great suggestions. I managed to find this and just ordered it... http://shop.walterklassen.com/products/brushless-gimbal-mitchell-plate
