Well, in that case, I offer you the quotation from the designer of the Hindenburg, "it should work." :)

Ben aren't the BL's rated to 40 amps? One cap for 20 amp applications, 2 caps for 40 amp applications?

Dave the MK BL 2.0's are rated at 35amp continuous, 40amp peak. But as a lot of us have learned they hit the heat limitations before we get to those types of amperage pulls.

Speaking of raising the battery tray up higher, I know I've seen someone with some nifty green anodized posts for the battery tray -- as Dave King says on another thread I think we're going to have to raise the battery plate up to 55mm or 60mm to allow for the modified ACC on them.

But as Dave says, the longest 3mm hex standoff I can see is 50 mm -- which the current length.

As I recall the nifty green posts were original from the world of RC cars -- but without knowing what they're called, it's hard to find them on the net....

Andy I already saw these when searching for them. The only problem is that they are M4.

There's always the option of using 2 standoffs, one female to male connection but that would reduce the strength a little in my opinion. Not sure how it would hold up to a crash.

I guess the existing holes could be drilled out for M4 screws.

I don't think I'd want to use two standoffs stacked -- but I guess one could epoxy them together. Or have them welded?

    52mm is the longest I've found: http://www.mcmaster.com/#standard-threaded-standoffs/=mjtz8w
    Part number 94868A016

Or, as you say, drill out the holes (and make lots of nice black carbon fiber dust). Personally, I think the drilling out the holes would be the way to go.
