    PS: The cx760 is PAL 35p / 50p (not NTSC 30p / 60p)...[/quote]

I'm not sure that's true, John. I have the CX760 in the States and it's definitely NTSC 60p.
The CX730 is the European model which suggests it would be the PAL 50p.

Hmm, interesting. Well I have had my cx760 for about 5 months now, and its definitely 25p / 50p (just checked), so its PAL.

Could you please double check yours (I checked mine ;) ), Im sure this will be interesting info for others looking to buy...

Here are the specs from the Sony web site. (Right hand column, Recording: Video signal NTSC, Video resolution: 1920x1080/60p.)

I think Sony's messing with us and now calling two versions of the camera by the same number depending upon where they sell it....

    That should avoid confusion....won't it.....not.....

The link you provided is to the cx760V.

Mine is just cx760 (no "V")

Very true. I guess we're forced to conclude that the Sony CX760V (96GB, GPS) is NTSC but the 760E is PAL. Here's the PAL version (and available in the USA). Here's the NTSC version. Guess we're both right....at least when it comes to just the designation 760.

    Here's the CX730 version that's PAL.

Does yours say "V" on the camera? Mine does not say "E" or "V" or anything on camera. Just says cx760. (this is getting interesting ;) )
