    Hello Jose,

The two go-to props for CS8 w/ MK electronics are:
    APC 14x4.7 SF/SFP
    Xoar 14x6 matched pair

I have not experimented with the 14x8 but if I extrapolate the ESC data from these listed above I'd say that the pitch of the 14x8 would cause a significant increase in amp draw with 4s/QC3328 motor.

    Greetings,
    Adam

I was just wondering about Graupners I have the APC 14x4.7 and the Xoars 14x4 and have smaller Graupners on a smaller kopter, I kind of like them a lot, I know the 14 props are al ready pushing the to upper limit of the system and if I add to that more pitch well yes more heat, amps, Etc.. the Xoars have more of a aerodynamic airfoil shape on the blade than the APC sims to me. I know I got to upgrade soon been on the limit is frustrating

tha copter take the winds like butter:)
and i also use carbon 13x6,5 they are awesome too
    i fly with 5 cell

Hi Kjetil I asume that you are flying with MK electronics and Bl,Ctrl if so, what is the difference you notice on your rig from flying with 5S vs 4S lipos, QC guys did a test some time ago and if I remember right there was not a considerable difference in Bl,Ctrl temperatures and Amp draw
2 Q, what is your kopter All around weight, is it a 6 or 8, and average air temperatures when you fly
    thanks

yes i fly with mk and bl
i fly the cs 8 and you get more power when i use 5cell instead off 4cell ,and i think it flew more smoother
now my copter weight around 5,5-6 kg

Hi Kietil, I am about to purchase an CS8 with MK electronics and Bl,Ctrl; here's the configuration:
    CineStar-8 Frame Kit: 1
    Flight Control V2.5 ME: 1
Okto XL Power Distribution Board (Pre-soldered): 1
    MK USB: 1
    QuadroPower 8000 Lipo: 1
APC 14x5.5 MR Prop Pair: 4
    Multi-Rotor Adapter Rings: 2
    QuadroPower Motor QC-3328: 8
Molex Cable for FC 2.1 and GPS: 1
    R/C JST Style Connectors: 1
    LED Stripe in Red: 1
    LED Stripe in Blue: 2
Cinestar Shrink Wrap - Clear: 3 Pieces
    Bolts M3x15 black: 2
    Nut M3 black: 2
    Vibration Dampeners M3x15: 1
    Screw M3x8 black: 1
    Black and Red Silicone Cable - 1 m: 2
    Build Guide DVD: 1
    PCB Extension Set: 1
    Buzzer Adapter PCB: 1
    Loctite 222MS Threadlocker: 1

    FreeFly 2-axis gimbal with radians

QC told me that it cannot handle 6S, but it looks like going with 5S gives the craft more power and would be compatible with the system?
Do you simply plug in the 5S battery pack or do you do add a transformer?
What battery pack do you use (brand and mah) and what flight time do you get?
    THanks!
    Fulvio

The MK PDB is the limiting factor for a 6S setup not the V2.5 of the FC is out, if you run the FF PDB and use and i2C converter you can run 6S, just depends on if you want to use the MK PDB or not.

There are some good threads already on this forum about Heavy Lift setups and running 4,5 and 6S setups

i fly wooden xoars and notice that they change size depending on the humidity and temperature. When i flew in the jungle they expanded and subsequently became off balance and when I flew them in the desert they contracted and so started freely spinning on their shafts half way through the week! has anyone else had this problem?

Wood changes size by up to 2% depending on the humidity (and, of course the species of wood). Even when surface sealed, wood is like a bundle of drinking straws tied together -- and the straws hold the water.

One question about the xoars, do I need a different prop adapter to get good grip of the wood or will the standard 2814 prop adapter do the job? I've seen some prop adapters have that knurled base to get better grip :O

The standard ones are fine. Some of the newer motors now have some knurling.

Anyone tried Xoar 13x6.5 with stock Cs8 Mk electronics. 4s setup with QC-3328/ t-motor 2814 equivalent motors.
AUW around 6 kilos (13.5lbs). Asking because I don't like my APC SF 14x4.7 props too much, shaky descents and bad tracking.

You could also try the newer APC “Multirotor” props. I saw pretty consistent improvement in efficiency and handling, although descents are going to be choppy regardless of what props you use. I believe it’s an issue with the flat-8 config itself, not the props.
