I, along with many others out there, am having issues with Roll Twitch... I just purchased 2 different types and thickness' of gel Gyro mounting tape to see if that will help at all over the original mounting tape. I think the reason the roll twitches more then the tilt is due to the fact that the roll sees more vibrations then the tilt does. I could be completely wrong in that assumption but thats what im going after. Im hoping to have some test results by this weekend. I will shoot video of the same thing 3 different times, one as it is now, and one for each type of tape. I will do it without changing any of the settings on the Radian to start. Then I will try and fine tune each one to see if it gets better. I am hoping it will be a little windy out since that seems to be when it's more noticeable. Let the testing begin! Josh
Interesting. I was planning to do some testing on this same issue but I have a different theory. I will share any results as well. Happy hunting Joe
Josh: do you have a link for the gel mounting tape? Always useful to know where to get stuff like that. Andy.
OK. Looks like this might be the stuff: http://www.amainhobbies.com/product...Absorption-Gyro-Reciever-Mounting-Gel-1-Sheet http://www.espritmodel.com/vibration-absorption-double-side-gel-gyro-tape-zeal.aspx Andy.
I tried the original, 3M 1mm silicone and hard fixing w/ zip-tie...All the same result. Did anybody get better results with soft "gel" or "foam" on radians?
Best results for me are using this - I HATE zip ties! http://www.everbuild.co.uk/mammoth-tapes?product_id=364
Hey Guys, Sorry haven't had a chance to test anything yet. Been out on shoots the last couple weeks. I have some down time now and will be checking stuff out/testing some different mounting methods this week. Josh
