    HDMI Converter:

Hi Guys, just wanted to share a new product that will start shipping to resellers soon. We have created a very small and lightweight HDMI to Composite SD converter. Many newer cameras are dropping the SD video output which forces us to use the HDMI. The main problem I have had in the past with using HDMI was the bulky and inflexible HDMI cables. For this product we also created a very thin and flexible HDMI cable which has the correct HDMI connector for most cameras (NEX5, GH2 etc)

Retail price is 125.00 USD. Attached you will find a few photos.

    Items of note on HDMI:

    1. Lightweight and flexible HDMI cable included.
    2. Compatible with NTSC/PAL systems
    3. 5V power supply
    4. Converter weighs 20g (not including cables)
    5. Small form factor 60mm x 40mm

I have been using these for a while on my rigs with good results.

Thanks Ziv, Yeah we made the HDMI connector for the camera side a right angle connector so it does not stick out too far and limit your ability to adjust the camera in the gimbal.

Yes should be available at QC soon!

Looks super cool... Much better than the frankenstein job I did with the innards of the converter box I bought from Amazon.

Thanks guys, The wiring nightmare that exists with current solutions is what drove us to work on this product. Makes me miss the good old days of SD composite output from the camera!

    Hi Tabb

This thing is tiny, very neat! Can I ask is the power input strictly 5V? I know alot of our customers are running 6.5V setups so would be nice & easy just to take from that instead of additonal regulators/recoms but no big problem. Looking forward to the release!

Quick question about wiring. I was planning on running my 5.8ghz mondo stinger tx off of a 3s pack. Does anyone know if the orange camera power wire coming off of the transmitters connector outputs 5v? Also the max output current for the orange camera power wire is 150ma...does the converter draw more than that?

    Thanks :)

Doing this from memory but the I believe that Ira at Iftron told me that is a direct pass through. Whatever voltage you supply to the TX is passed to the camera. So if you have a 5V camera then you will need to put a RECOM or something similar between the Iftron and the camera.

Hey twister, I just checked the voltage on a stinger here & Garys right, the power coming from the orange cable match's that of the battery on the other end.

What is the plastic jumper used for that was included? No mention of it in the instructions or anywhere

Sorry about that, we forgot to mention that the plastic jumper is used to switch between NTSC and PAL modes.

That is what I figured it was for. Thanks Tabb. Also, Im assuming I only need to hook up one of the grounds coming from the converter? It seems to be working that way now.
