All works perfect with no issues. I'm running Xoar 16x5 props with U7/490. AUW tested 31lbs, throttle stick position approx 40-45% in hover...she was hungry for more weight. No abnormal flight characteristics, the U7s are very smooth running. I didn't have to change any MK gyro settings from my 4s and 5s setup. I'll post amp draw numbers later.

Opps that's a major detail that I left out. MK coaxial of course :) 3 feet (914mm) motor to motor. I'm using the 64/71 mk mixer.

Rant time! *oddamn cheap chinese crap! How in the hell can two brand new $250 dollar motors have bad bearings after only 3 flights?? One bearing is so bad that you can feel the grind/chewiness when rotating the bell and you can hear it screeching loudly while in flight. WTF. going back to AXI...big and heavy 4120. Can't risk it with this crap.

Which I2C converter are you using? After two failed Double Quad 2XL boards I'd like to take this route but was always under the impression the I2C converter was limited to 4s. I also second your thoughts on Tiger motors. Iv'e used both the 3515's and 3520's and in each case the bearing were gone after a month of moderate to light flying.

David most people who use the I2C converter use the abusive converter. I2C converter is fine with 6S.

Guys, My partner and I are starting to think a couple of our U7 motors have internal winding shorts after two FF controllers caught fire during testing while only pulling 13-17 amps. We were advised to test each motor with an Ohmmeter by checking the leads against the motor shaft. Will report back.

Converter is the Abusemark I2C converter though Dave might have named it a bit better :)

That doesn't sound good at all, Howard.
Could you also measure the resistance of the windings on a known good motor, just for comparative purposes, please?

    Thanks
    Andy.
