I've got a job coming up that will require upside down operation of the M10. The current camera payload is 10 lbs (C500 PL, Leica Summilux-C, Redrock FF, Freefly battery onboard)
I did a test today, by first tightening the screws on the pan arm, mounting the camera backwards in the harness, flipping the unit and turning it on.
Some issues I've come across are as follows...
-Setting it down is difficult because you cant rest it in a tray, or slide it onto a C stand. I may fabricate some sort of landing gear for the top.
-A lot of stress is put on the joint where the vertical post meets the horizonal pan post. I tightened the screws on the horizontal pan post very tight to avoid them slipping while the camera is inverted.
-Mounting a monitor is more difficult because your cross bar is below your hands.
Has anyone experimented with inverted mode? I'd love to hear any tips and pointers.
