Anyone have any experience flying a C8, M10, with dii A2 controller, with a Canon C300? The cinestar has tiger t motors, and TB batteries, etc if i push the pan stick to left, it will counterclockwise forever. if i push back, the C8 would going slow then clockwise forever. don;t know what happened? the transmitter prob? thank you Chenkang
Yu: Which transmitter are you using? Also, was this unit working correctly, but has now stopped working correctly? (Is it a new fault?) Or have you just received it and this is an issue "out of the box?" Then we need to make some systematic checks of the transmitter. 1. Please verify which model you have selected. 2. Then verify on the Servo Setup screen (page 17 of the DX7s manual EDIT or use the MONITOR screen on Page 19) that: a. The left stick back and forward moves the THR indicator. b. The left stick left and right moves the RUD indicator. c. The right stick back and forward moves the ELE indicator. d. The right stick left and right moves the AIL indicator. 3. Verify that you do not have any "trim" set on any of the controls -- with both sticks centered is the small square on the Servo Setup display centered in the middle of the horizontal bar. Let me know what you find and we'll proceed on to other checks. Andy.
Hi Andy, I am using a DX8 to control the M10 and a T14SG. The left stick left and right moves the RUD indicator on DX8 doesn't work. the issue is the M10 would drive the C8 rotate clockwise or counterclockwise from still to nonstop, the action triggle by DX8 is just left or right Pan stick a little. (DX8 is orginally in the M10 box) but the tilt would upside or downside by the stick action by action. the pan is once triggled, the rotate would continuely. hope the describe is clear. the photo is the DX8 labbled with M10 action. Thanks, Chenkang
Is this the case in the air, or when you have the copter on the ground .... The rotation sounds like normal behavior when I the ground if you have no selected the "airborne majestic" with the mode switch. Cheers Chris
Hi Chenkang: Chris is correct -- if you have the copter on the ground, then the top part will rotate -- this is normal because the flight control is trying to stabilize the top part in yaw -- and, of course, it cannot because the gimbal is resting on the ground. If you suspend the entire copter with a cord from the center of the battery plate so that it hangs level (I loop two loops around the battery plate, one around the short axis, the other around the long axis so that they meet above the center of the plate), you can do better testing although even then it does not quite replicate real flight conditions and you may still see some rotation of the upper part of the copter -- what is missing is the gyroscopic effects of the motors and props spinning -- and you can really only get that in actual flight. Hope this helps. Andy.
Hi Andy and Chris, I find the transmitter lable is wrong which the lable pan speed should be "Pan", and the lable pan should be "no control" that means i can control the gimbal tilt and pan now. but if i left and right right stick, the gimbal would drive the CS8 rotate clockwise and counterclockwise..............forever...... Thanks, Chenkang
Hi Andy: I have a CS8 with KW10 motors, 14inch props and 5s 10000mah Lipos. Do you think I could lift the M10 and a Black Magic Cinema Camera? Thank you Augusto
Hi Augusto: That's a very good question -- I'll have to let Gary, Steve or Shaun answer it as I have yet to get to fully understand (or trust) the eCalc on-line calculator. Sorry I can't be of more help....I will study eCalc soon... Andy.
Augusto plug your numbers into the calculator at ecalc.ch. Easy to do, just go through each of fields one by one, methodically.
Hi Andy, the CS8 have same issue laying both on ground and table. but now I can pan the gimbal by DX8 orginally from the box of M10 which is pan is left stick and tilt is right stick. before I use right stick for pan and tilt becuase the lable on the DX8's right stick is Pan and Tilt, so the issue would be the gimbal drive the CS8 rotate non-stop after I left and right Right stick. Now Left and Right Left Stick, the M10 gimbal could pan. SO, I am quite confused why the orginal transmitter setting like this??? Thanks, Chenkang
It will do that. You must hang the copter using a cord from the battery plate so that it is not on the ground or on a table. Could you check one thing on the original transmitter, please? Have a look at Page 40 of the Spektrum DX8 manual. Please verify that the Transmitter is Mode 2. Thanks Andy.
