We're exploring the possibilities of mounting a movi to a fixed wing manned aircraft. Has anyone heard of this being done with any of these gimbals? We are looking to fly smaller sized cameras but may go up to alexas and reds occasionally. Our big concern is wind at 100-150mph and vibration. We'd be expecting to design some kinda shroud to cut down on wind but the gimbal motors will need to be strong enough to handle the camera weight as well as the wind resistance on the shroud. Do you think this could be done with a Movi pro?

  2. Jonathan,
The new MoVI Pro is simply not designed for fixed wing aircraft. It has been primarily designed to work for cinema applications using the Freefly ALTA multi-rotors. If you are needing a gimbal that is to be mounted on the outside of a fixed wing aircraft, it is strongly recommend you acquire a gimbal that is designed specifically for that purpose, and those flying conditions.
