Hello, If I've understood the documentation correctly, the Radian's tilt, pan and roll modules appear to use measurement about their orientation in order to perform control. I'm guessing they have an IMU inside to perform the pose estimation? I am interested in developing/testing my own IMU pose estimation for educational/research project. In order to assess the accuracy of my EKF implementation, I was planning to use another IMU (the plan is to place an IMU next to the camera and gather data). Where could I get more data/information on the accuracy of the Radian's estimation algorithms (both static and dynamic positioning). Also, is there a way I could get the data from the Radian's IMUs? Any thoughts are welcome. Thanks Sri
You ask some good questions, Sri. The Radians were developed by JohnC (who checks the forum pretty regularly so I'm sure he'll respond when he has time). I suspect that he will tell you that the Radians are proprietary, but I don't know that for a fact -- that's just me speculating. Thanks Andy.
Hello Andy, Is there any way to get in touch with John C to inquire about this? Or should I repost and perhaps hope that someone might be able to shed some light on the question. I've been puzzling about it for a while and I could use some wisdom from someone who has worked on these systems. Thanks Sri
Let me see if I can ping JohnC. I know he's sufficiently busy that he's been away from the forum. Andy.
