Esc placement

    What will change if you lengthen the ESC -> Motor wires is the inductance -- each wire creates a magnetic field that induces a current in the other wires. However, I don't know whether this is significant to the ESC which is already seeing pretty large inductance from the motor's coil sets.

    On the other hand, increasing the LiPo -> ESC wire length is apparently a bad thing as the inductance increase can damage the ESC. Castle Creations even sells a capacitor pack to help reduce these problems. http://www.castlecreations.com/products/cc-cap-pack.html

    I noticed that the DJI S1000 has it's ESC's out under the motors -- but they use coaxial LiPo -> ESC wire presumably to avoid the dreaded inductance.
