    Hello,

I am currently thinking of building an Epic lifter for my M10. U7 @490rpm in X8 with 16x5,4 props seem nice but I´ve heard of problems with ESC-U7 combinations.

Any experience out there that could help me?

Somebody using even U5 for an Epic lifter?

    Greetings and thanks,

    Rob

Check out the new ESCs by KDE. They seem to work well with the T-U7 motors.

And while your at it check out the motors by KDE, I am just about to build this exact setup with the Gryphon frame and KDE power train. Expecting good things :)

That Gryphon frame gives me pause every time I see it.

Keep us informed - let us know how you like it.

Pause in a good way? Bad? To tell you the truth we moved on to the Skyjib frame instead. Even though the Gryphon looks so good, the connectors in the arms are a bit scary to me. I haven't heard of anything going south on them though.

You know, I've never seen one in person. The pictures I see though, look pretty sexy. But then I think about the 40th, or the 100th flight.. are those connectors going to hold up? What happens when the arm joint develops a little bit of play - how will that affect the flight and reliability of the frame?

Single piece booms just seem more structurally sound over the long term, to me.
