dodeca stability

    The KDE motors are 435kv. I might try 16 inch props on top and bottom to get the rpm higher.

    Hey guys,

    Just a quick update on my dodeca rig. I put 16 inch props all around and it seems to be performing much better. It's still well below the 50% hover point at 23kgs.might even be better to put 15 inch on top to get the motors closer to optimal rmp. Seems like with 18 inch it was barely idling to stay in hover. This thing is a beast and was way overpowered for the load.

    So it seems to get a proper heavy lifter dodeca to work with a grypgon frame you need to first of all sort out the flex in the frame (will be swapping the Z arms for straight ones) and brace the arms with carbon rods. And match motor/prop to the desired payload. Bigger isn't always better is the lesson I learned from this.
