I think the following post explains your requirement http://www.multirotorforums.com/showthread.php?11254-Brushless-Gimball-CX740-760
Using the Sony 730/40 is cheating because of the perfectly working Boss system, so there will be no guarantee that when using other camera's you get the same results.
You are right but many people have that type of camera its just added stability that could help with longer focal lens, but ok, would you consider just to do some flights with your GH2 and use incremental longer lenses to see up to what lens mm you can get stable useful footage
kari, how did you set up follow mode? ive been trying to get this working but it just goes crazy when I turn on the power. the tilt and roll are working great. I bought a second alexmos controller for the pan. but im baffled as to how to set it up. i don't fly... this is for hand held use only.
QC is selling the Martinez now... I am not sure if the price is a misprint ? Must be as its $70 everywhere else. http://www.quadrocopter.com/Brushless-Gimbal-Controller-with-IMU-Sensor_p_948.html
Would anyone using two boards for the gimbal show how they are mounting them to the frame. Stacking the boards on top of each other would be ideal but I'm curious how the servo leads would plug in. If you used a single board for roll you could put it on bottom and have access to the rx pins for the top board. But it sounds like most people are using one board for pan or one board for tilt.
Our solution, Inside the carbon box sits a CC Pro BEC on 12,5V for the two Alexmos boards and there is also room for a small HDMI/VGA converter that we ordered and will replace the big one.
hello now i have the second board (alexmos) and i wounder who you mount the sensor for pan ,and do you connect pan motor to motor 1
Hi Kjetil, Here is a link to set it up: http://www.simplebgc.com/files/v10/SimpleBGC_connection_diagram_2x.pdf I just got in contact with Jussi form viacopter and he told me that they will come out with the pan module mid august. Cheers Bo
Hi Kjetil I have the imu for pan/roll mounted on the roll boom (horizontal on top with connector to the right, looking from behind) Mount 1 IMU on tilt boom and use only for Tilt Mount second IMU on roll boom and use this for Roll and Pan For controlling Pan, in the new software ver 2.1 go to advanced setting and under Motor outputs, set ROLL - Roll out, and YAW - Pitch out connect yaw motor to pitch input... Thats it
What size Lipo are you using? Is anyone using 5S at 20.7 volts? How do your results vary from a 4S battery? I've seen people flying red epics on 5208 motors. Do you need to be running 2 boards to accomplish this? Would a single board and 3rd axis expansion not have enough power to handle that? Anyone tried the increased gyro sensitivity function in firmware version 2.1?
