    hello,
I am interested in performing some control systems tests on the 3 axis gimbal system. Is there any information/documentation on how to feed in my own control signals to the servos in the gimbal? This is for education/research purposes and the desired goal is to be able to send in angular acceleration signals to the gimbal. Further tests could involve object tracking etc. Any thoughts are much appreciated.

    Thanks
    Regards

    Hi Sri:
The Radians respond to either PPM, PWM or Futaba S.bus signals. PWM is the simplest, followed by PPM (which muxes all the PWM inputs into "frames"), and then S.bus (which looks to be Futaba's enhanced PPM).

Here's a good guide to PWM and PPM: http://www.endurance-rc.com/ppmtut.php
You'll find that companies like Pololu and others using the Arduino already make boards with PC-based software that allow you to program up specific PWM signals for controlling servos.

    Hope this helps

Thanks Andy.. I have a few related questions about the way the Radian modules operate.. but will post a query about that on the Radian group thread.
