Andy, I didn't see a clear indication in your wonderful DVD for exactly which connectors coming from the MK GPS & Navi boards to the Flight Control Board (and which orientation for pin 1, etc.) using the two ribbon cables? I connected them up how I thought they were supposed to be, but I get the Morse code indicator that seems to be complaining that they're not connected. Can you post a photo of the connections? I was going to message you privately, but I am probably not the only person who would benefit from your good counsel. Thank you! Steve
Hi Steve: I'll take some images and post them -- however that Morse code indicator is telling you that the radio receiver on the Cinestar is not receiving a signal from the transmitter. So power on the transmitter, make sure that the transmitter is bound to the receiver, and if it is, the Morse code will stop. Hope this helps (and glad the DVD was of help!) Andy.
Thank you! Maybe I did have them right, but I'd like to be sure. And you're right...I haven't bound my Graupner yet. Many thank yous.
Steve, Do you have any lights that are coming on when you power everything up? Here are some pics to help you out: The bigger ribbon cable plugs into the Serial Port on the FC. The red side of the cable plugs into pin 1 which is on the right in the above picture. The little ribbon cable plugs into the SPI port on the left side of the FC in the picture above with pin 1 on the right. Here is a look at the Navi Control board with the connections laid out: Josh
Steve: Here are the images. In both case boom #1 is at the top of the image -- so they're both oriented the same way with respect to each other. Hope this helps Andy.
I must complement you on your nail polish color. Striking! Thank you so much. Now, off to my studio this morning to get my bird in the air!
I chose the nail polish by asking the lady in the supermarket which nail polish was brightest red, the most garish, and would probably be worn only by a "lady of the evening." Andy.
