Hi all, Knowing that the members of the forum are from all over the world and have to abide by various UAV regulations in your part of the planet ... I was hoping to pick your brains and knowledge base ! Our local Civil Aviation Authority is in the process of setting up rules and regulations regarding the use of UAVs. They have put a blanket ban on all use (hobby or commercial) until further notice with hefty fines and jailtime as threats. Our company has set up a meeting with the Civil Aviation Authority in the hopes of assisting them locally with information from our side in the hopes of getting a fair set of rules and regulation for commercial aerial photography. What I was hoping fro from the forum is info on how your country has regulated your use of UAV for aerial photography. What you can and can't do. Are there tests you need to complete? Licences, permits etc. We'd like to go armed with as much knowledge as possible and options on this. You can email me directly is you want to as well. Much appreciated in advance ...
Sebastian for a good example look to the EuroSC process in Europe. If I were in charge int he US we would lift verbatim what they have done and drop it in place. http://www.eurousc.com And what CAA are you in?
