Hi, I just ordered a full cinestar & radian gimbal, 3 axis.
I ordered the cinestar 6 gimbal plate (this one -> http://www.1001copters.com/144-424-thickbox/cinestar-6-gimbal-plate-enhanced.jpg ) to fit everything under a Aero-Tek frame (this one -> http://mikrokopter.altigator.com/images/aerotek/Hexa-XL-Aero-Tek-Pro.jpg)
Sadly it's not a common frame, so I was wondering if everything will fit ok or if I have to do some modifications to the frame (add brackets, drill holes...)
Does anyone have or can measure for me the spacing between holes in this plate so I can check if everything is ready to fit or if I have to start doing those modifications?
    Thank you! :)
    Alessandro.

    Hi Alessandro:
Hmmm. Well, the folks on this forum are usually superb at responding when they know the answer, so don't take the lack of the answer as them ignoring you -- I think all it means "Sorry, we don't know the answer."

    Ma benvenuto nel forum!

    Andy.

    Grazie! :D

I'll just wait for the cinestar then, hoping that everything will fit perfectly (never happened and never will ;))
    Bye!

    Alessandro,

What I'm writing here is a wild guess only but you most certanly will have to make some mods.

On the Cinestar the camera plate is attached to the frame by the Vibration Dampening Brackets (http://www.quadrocopter.com/CineStar-Vibration-Dampening-Brackets_p_399.html), witch is (in my opinion) one of the best things about the Cinestar. After you receive the camera gimbal you will have to look for a way to attach it to the frame but with some kind of rubber, silicon or other vibration isolation method.

Unfortunately or fortunately, it's up to you, it seems that you will be the pioneer on this solution.

Good luck and please keep us posted about your progress so other can be helped also.

    Cheers,
