Anyone know if there is a plate etc that someone makes to get the Cinestar gimbals on MK rigs? I'd like to use my Cinestar 2 axis on my MK hex.

Hi Ryan, I think thats going to get a little heavy even if its a Hexa XL.
What is the weight of the camera you want to lift?

    Janne,

I have put 2450g (give or take 100) up on the Hex. The cine-star gimbal in a 2axis setup comes in at about 750g . I was thinking mostly a Canon 70D (600-750g) or if I can figure out a good way to trigger it a Sony A7R (500-650g) until phase one ships the IXu 150 (1250g).

If there is no or very little wind you might be Ok, but as soon as the air starts moving around to much power will be needed for lifting the weight and you will not have enough power for good control :-(
