iPhone video of the big octo testing out a number of new things... 1) Mikrokopter BL 3.0 firmware update 1.04c 2) A change in motor timing from 24° to 28° 3) New Tiger 16” carbon fiber props One thing I noticed immediately is that the Tiger props are a lot quieter than the Foxtech carbon fiber props I’ve been using. But otherwise these checkout rides were uneventful, as you always want them to be.
There aren't any clear shots of the noted filmmaker wearing the goggles... But would I be correct in guessing that's Kennan? Your footage from Big Sur looks stunning, that GH4 is quite a little camera!
KDE 4012 with 16" tiger props. Getting 14-16 minutes with 2x10000 and 20 minutes with 2x16000. Flying with the M5 and GH4.
Just an update here. Changed up a few things: * new firmware on the BLs * 16" t-motor props * external compass * switched to 1.3gHz downlink
The T-motors are awesome. Quiet and better than the other CFs I've used. I can't say anything about the Xoars as I've never used them, although I'm probably going to use them on the big quad I'm building just for s&g.
Steve what motors mounts are you using? Do the standard cinestar mounts work or did you upgrade to the heavy lift mounts?
Standard ones do not work. http://forum.freeflysystems.com/ind...for-medium-heavy-lift-8-10kg.3079/#post-35919
Hi Steve Maller: I'm in the bay area too and looking for those parts you ordered for your double decker power control board. Where did you find them? And do you have any extra that I could buy from you? We are in a jam!
Hi Shadd: I did a Google search for the part numbers on Steve's posting at http://forum.freeflysystems.com/ind...dium-heavy-lift-8-10kg.3079/page-3#post-36214 Message #41 and found them on www.digikey.com (EDIT: Ooops. Steve did actually mention Digikey in the first para of his posting.) http://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/25515/25515K-ND/1532193 http://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/29346/29346K-ND/1532218 http://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/25505/25505K-ND/1532184 Hope this helps Andy.
Hi Shadd. Send me a private message and we can hook up. I do have extras. I'll be in Burlingame this afternoon. Steve
Shadd: Steve's easy to recognize -- just gaze at his avatar image for a while and you'll see that he has, err..., distinguishing "features." Andy.
