Morning All, May I ask your opinions on charging flight batteries in the field / on location. I have been browsing for small generators to fulfil this need, but would love to hear what conclusions you all happened across. Thanks in advance, Andy.
We use a Honda EU20i generator. Powers 3 powerlab 6 chargers all day easily. Its worked well for 4 years.
Apologies for the pedantry, but I think it's the EU2000i not the EU20i. I've used one in the field as well. Very smooth and quiet operation. Andy.
We use the small 3k Honda. (We started with the 2k, but it was not enough to keep up when we were really under the pump...)
What I did, to meet increased demand, was to get a second EU2000i and a kit that allows you to connect two of them in parallel for a sustained output of 3,600 watts. I thought about a single 3K Honda but decided it might be more useful, both out in the field and at home, to have a primary generator and a backup. It's just the way my mind works!
