    Morning All,

May I ask your opinions on charging flight batteries in the field / on location.

I have been browsing for small generators to fulfil this need, but would love to hear what conclusions you all happened across.

    Thanks in advance,

    Andy.

We use a Honda EU20i generator. Powers 3 powerlab 6 chargers all day easily. Its worked well for 4 years.

Apologies for the pedantry, but I think it's the EU2000i not the EU20i.
I've used one in the field as well. Very smooth and quiet operation.

Brilliant, thank you Andy. I was looking at the Honda range. They never make a bad product!

We use the small 3k Honda.

(We started with the 2k, but it was not enough to keep up when we were really under the pump...)

What I did, to meet increased demand, was to get a second EU2000i and a kit that allows you to connect two of them in parallel for a sustained output of 3,600 watts. I thought about a single 3K Honda but decided it might be more useful, both out in the field and at home, to have a primary generator and a backup. It's just the way my mind works!
