Hi All, First of all this is a shameless plug for Capture One, the RAW image processing software my company develops. I asked Andy and he said he wouldn't shoot me. I am aware that most of you are probably capturing video from your equipment but also there is a possibility some of you are capturing stills too? If so Capture One, is a professional choice for working with your high quality images. We have support for over 300 camera types / RAW file types in a customisable package delivering great quality images with a whole host of adjustment tools. You can read more here.. http://www.phaseone.com/en/Imaging-Software/Capture-One-Pro-7.aspx Download a free 60 day trial from the downloads section. If some of you are interested I will happily hold a free Webinar for forum members for a 'Get Started' Session. I normally run weekly webinars anyway, so look out for the new September program which will go up at www.phaseone.com/events, but happy to do an exclusive freefly one. Other help can be found at.. http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLDMRz3ssFQH6HhCcWLh7xL0SapRxUNzs9 As mentioned, when the Black Magic Pocket cams start hitting the streets we can also do a nice workflow with Cinema DNG in Capture One. All the best, David
Plug for David. Great guy and really knows this stuff. He was the guy at Hasselblad for a long time for all matters Hasselblad.
As a thought.. if any of you want me to put a RAW file through the ringer then send it to dgr@phaseone.com via our file transfer page... http://www.phaseone.com/en/FooterMenu/Contact-us/FileUpload1.aspx
Small world. Didn't realize we both knew David, Gary. His dirty little secret is that he's started to get hooked on copters.... Andy.
So that's why he's trying to encourage me to fly my H4D-50 (now that he's a Phase One).... <evil grin> Andy.
Props to Capture One. While not perfect (1DC support?! ), it absolutely smokes every other RAW workflow platform. For print, time-lapse, fine tuning RAWs for HDR or compositing, etc., i've tried them all and it remains the best.
Hi Dan, Thanks for the kind words. I believe support for the 1DC may be on the way, but ill have to check with the product manager on Monday. The offer still stands for a webinar if anyone is interested. @Andy - Yes, get the H4D on a flight. <more evil grin>. David
