    Hey guys,
Anybody using zoom lenses and Canon bodies with their MoVI?
I was thinking of something near 24-70, but the f2.8 doesn´t seem to be a good choice due to the extending length when zooming - I guess that should completely kill the balance, no? What about the f4.0 - does anybody have any experience with it?
    Thanks,
    Wolfgang

I've used the 24-70. It works well. I balanced at about 50mm, and that let me move from 35-70 without any issues. I didn't try at below 35. For wider I just go to the 16-35.

    Thank you Paul.
Did you use the f2.8 or the f4?

By the way, that 16-35 is a great option, because the elements barely move at all when extending the zoom range.

Thanks, Austin - I use the 17-40, and it works great. I just wanted something longer.

    Thanks again, Paul!

I use the 24-105mm f1.4L. Balance for 70mm. The MōVI can handle it when you go wide or long, although obviously, it puts it into imbalance so you may be able to break the magnetic lock on the motors if you subject the MōVI to G-forces.

  8. Andy,
I know it's a typo, but you got me all excited for a second thinking someone had an f1.4 version of that lens.

Thanks, Andy. I'll try to get my hands on these lenses to check which one would be the best for my taste.
    I'd suppose a 1.4 Version would weigh somewhere around 3000g :-D.

Don't know, but too big for the MōVI!

    Andy.
